President Aliyev discusses military cooperation with defence minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina PHOTO
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has received Zukan Helez, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina, for a meeting to discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation.
The leaders shared views on various areas of collaboration between the two countries, with a particular focus on the defence sector. Both sides underlined the importance of strengthening cooperation between their defence ministries and the defence industry institutions, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
Minister Helez expressed his appreciation for Azerbaijan’s victory in the Patriotic War, emphasizing its significance. He also highlighted Azerbaijan’s active involvement in Bosnia and Herzegovina across different sectors and reiterated his country’s readiness to continue and expand cooperation.
President Aliyev fondly recalled his official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, where the two nations signed a Joint Declaration on Strategic Partnership. The President reaffirmed Azerbaijan's commitment to fulfilling the terms of this declaration and promoting further collaboration.
The meeting also covered future prospects for cooperation and other areas of mutual interest, signalling a continued partnership between Azerbaijan and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
