President Aliyev eyes new growth in Azerbaijan-Malaysia relations
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has congratulated Malaysian King Sultan Ibrahim and the people of Malaysia on the country’s Independence Day, expressing confidence that bilateral relations and cooperation will continue to expand.
In his message of congratulations to Sultan Ibrahim, Aliyev described the current level of partnership between Azerbaijan and Malaysia as “gratifying,” highlighting the relationship’s foundation in “traditions of friendship and mutual respect,” Caliber.Az reports.
“I believe that Azerbaijani-Malaysian interstate relations and our mutually beneficial cooperation will continue to successfully develop and expand both bilaterally and within the framework of international organizations,” the Azerbaijani president said.
Aliyev also conveyed his personal wishes to the Malaysian king, writing, “On this pleasant day, I wish you robust health, happiness, and success in your high state activities.”
The president likewise wished the people of Malaysia “lasting peace, welfare, and prosperity.”
