President Aliyev hails Azerbaijan-Kyrgyzstan alliance in Independence Day message

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has congratulated Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov on the 35th anniversary of Kyrgyzstan’s independence.

In his message, Aliyev praised Kyrgyzstan’s achievements in strengthening statehood, advancing socio-economic development and implementing large-scale construction projects under Zhaparov’s leadership, Caliber.Az reports.

“Today, under your leadership, Kyrgyzstan has achieved significant milestones in strengthening its statehood, advancing socio-economic development, and implementing large-scale construction projects, earning great prestige on the international stage,” Aliyev said.

The Azerbaijani president emphasised that Baku considers Kyrgyzstan’s successes its own, describing the two countries as brotherly states.

Aliyev also highlighted the development of Azerbaijan-Kyrgyzstan relations, saying that longstanding ties of friendship and brotherhood have evolved into an alliance and gained new substance.

He pointed to his recent state visit to Kyrgyzstan as an important milestone, saying it demonstrated the two countries’ determination to pursue close partnership and an extensive cooperation agenda.

According to Aliyev, the visit laid the foundation for “a new chapter” in the history of Azerbaijan-Kyrgyzstan relations.

“I am confident that Azerbaijan-Kyrgyzstan ties and the alliance between our countries will continue to develop and strengthen along an upward trajectory through our joint efforts and in accordance with the interests of our peoples,” he said.

Aliyev wished Zhaparov good health, happiness and success in his state activities, while extending his wishes for lasting peace and prosperity to the Kyrgyz Republic.
