President Aliyev, his son watch Azerbaijan Air Force's Akıncı UAV flyover VIDEO
President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev and his son Heydar Aliyev have visited the Air Force military facilities, Caliber.Az reports citing the official website of the head of state.
They also watched the flyover of the Akinci unmanned combat aerial vehicle, which had been recently introduced into service.
Minister of Defence Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov presented a report to President Ilham Aliyev. Ilham Aliyev had a look at the conditions at the UAV academy.
Minister Hasanov and Technical Director of the Turkish Baykar Company Selcuk Bayraktar briefed the head of state on the conditions created at the academy and on the UAVs. It was noted that all conditions for the training of military staff were established here. All necessary machines and equipment meeting modern standards are available at the academy.
Then the Supreme Commander-in-Chief arrived at the UAV runway of the new military facility. After watching the take-off of the Akıncı attack UAV, Ilham Aliyev visited the control centre.
After observing the landing of the UAV, the President made a commemorative signature on the aircraft.
Afterwards, Ilham Aliyev visited the newly built hangar complexes. The hangars are designed to accommodate various types of unmanned aerial vehicles, including operational UAVs and other aeronautical equipment. Here, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief acquainted himself with the Akıncı attack UAV and aerial bombs.
