President Aliyev holds several meetings in Davos with private sector leaders
Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev is currently attending the annual World Economic Forum in the Swiss city of Davos, which is being held from January 16 to 20.
According to Azertag, on January 18 he met several representatives from the private sector, including the Chief Executive Officer of solar panel manufacturer “Kromatix SA”, Rafic Hanbali, as well as Cees 't Hart, the CEO of the Danish beverage giant Carlsberg Group.
President Aliyev also talked with the President of Global Affairs and co-head of the Office of Applied Innovation, Jared Cohen, at the US investment bank, Goldman Sachs, and discussed global challenges as well as the financial institution's partnership with Azerbaijan's Central Bank.
He also met the General Director of Signify, formerly known as Philips Lightning, Eric Rondolat. They talked about the progress of the works carried out by the electronic giant in the liberated areas of Azerbaijan, namely in Shusha and Aghdam. The company is providing lighting in 11 cities of the country, including the capital Baku, Ganja and Sumgayit.
