President Aliyev inaugurates newly built mosque in Hadrut PHOTO
On September 14, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the inauguration of a newly built mosque in the settlement of Hadrut, Khojavend district.
Nariman Topchubashov, Director of PMD Projects LLC, first briefed the head of state on the residential quarter currently under construction in Hadrut, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Topchubashov noted that PMD GROUP is building 28 two-storey private houses on a 3.6-hectare site in the settlement. Construction work is being carried out efficiently and at high-quality standards.
President Ilham Aliyev was also informed about the newly constructed mosque in the settlement. The foundation of this mosque was laid by the head of state in October 2021.
The mosque’s minaret stands at about 25 metres. The building can accommodate 210 worshippers at once, with the first floor designated for men and the second floor for women. The mosque’s façade features unique decorative elements in line with national ornaments.
Following the liberation of Azerbaijani lands from occupation, the state has been implementing consistent measures to restore religious and historical monuments destroyed by Armenia, bringing them back to their original appearance. In addition, new mosques are also being built.
