President Aliyev, J.P.Morgan CEO discuss long-term cooperation in Davos PHOTO
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev met with Jamie Dimon, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of J.P. Morgan, one of the world’s leading global financial institutions, to discuss long-term cooperation.
During the meeting on January 20, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, President Aliyev highlighted the importance of the existing cooperation between J.P. Morgan and the State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as other national institutions. He emphasised that this collaboration is long-term and built on mutual trust, Caliber.Az reports via state media.
Jamie Dimon, recognising Azerbaijan as a reliable partner in international financial markets, noted that the country offers a stable investment environment. He also pointed out that Azerbaijan follows a consistent financial policy. Dimon stressed that J.P. Morgan attaches particular importance to its long-term cooperation with the State Oil Fund, which is built on solid institutional foundations, and expressed interest in further deepening this partnership.
The meeting included an exchange of views on the current state of global financial markets, the international investment climate, and macroeconomic challenges. Opportunities for institutional investors and prospects for long-term cooperation were also discussed in the context of global economic developments.
J.P. Morgan, which manages assets exceeding $4 trillion, operates in banking, investment, and asset management. With a history spanning more than 200 years, the company is currently among the largest and most diversified financial institutions in the world.
