President Aliyev ratifies Azerbaijan–North Macedonia visa waiver
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has officially ratified a bilateral agreement between the governments of Azerbaijan and Northern Macedonia aimed at facilitating diplomatic travel between the two nations.
The accord “On exemption of holders of diplomatic and service/official passports from visa requirements,” was signed on March 12 in Baku and now comes into full effect following the President’s approval, Caliber.Az reports citing the official presidential website.
The draft law concerning the agreement between the Government of Azerbaijan and the Government of North Macedonia on the exemption of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and service/official passports was deliberated and adopted in a single reading by the Milli Majlis (Parliament) of Azerbaijan during its session on June 21, 2025.
This agreement formalizes the mutual visa exemption for holders of diplomatic and official passports, thereby facilitating diplomatic and official travel between the two countries.
