President Aliyev reaffirms stronger Slovenia ties in Statehood Day message

President Ilham Aliyev has congratulated Slovenia on its national holiday, Statehood Day, reaffirming Azerbaijan’s commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and expanding cooperation.

In a letter addressed to President Nataša Pirc Musar, Aliyev extended his sincere congratulations on behalf of himself and the people of Azerbaijan to the Slovenian leader and the people of Slovenia, Caliber.Az reports, citing state media.

The Azerbaijani leader highlighted the significance of this year, which marks the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

“I am confident that we will successfully continue our joint efforts to develop the friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Slovenia — which this year mark the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations — as well as to expand our mutually beneficial cooperation both on a bilateral and multilateral basis,” the president wrote.

Ending his message on a warm note, Aliyev wished President Pirc Musar well and expressed hopes for lasting prosperity and well-being for the people of Slovenia.
