President Aliyev salutes Somalia on National Day, eyes stronger partnership

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has extended congratulations to Somalia on the occasion of its National Day, highlighting the warm and developing relations between the two countries.

In a formal message to President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, Aliyev conveyed his best wishes to the Somali leadership and people on behalf of Azerbaijan and its citizens.

The president underscored that relations between Azerbaijan and Somalia are grounded in friendship and mutual respect, noting that cooperation between the two nations continues to develop and broaden across various areas.

“I am confident that we will continue our joint efforts successfully to further strengthen interstate relations, fully utilize the potential of our cooperation, and broaden our partnership” Aliyev emphasised.

Concluding his message, President Ilham Aliyev expressed his sincere wishes for lasting peace and prosperity to the friendly people of Somalia.
