President Aliyev unveils new initiative to draw foreign capital to Azerbaijan

President Ilham Aliyev has signed an Order establishing the Organizing Committee for the Azerbaijan International Investment Forum, official website of the Azerbaijani president announced.

The committee will be responsible for promoting Azerbaijan’s economic and investment potential on the international stage and further improving the country’s business and investment climate.

The initiative is also aimed at attracting foreign investment, supporting the sustainable development of Azerbaijan’s non-oil sector and strengthening the country’s integration into the global economic system.

Deputy Prime Minister Samir Sharifov has been appointed chairman of the Organizing Committee.
