President Aliyev visits Khojaly's Badara village, inspects rebuilt homes PHOTO
On September 15, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev visited Badara village in Khojaly District to review ongoing reconstruction and development efforts, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
Badara was among the villages brought under Azerbaijani control during the counter-terrorist operation conducted by the Armed Forces in September 2023. Since then, significant social infrastructure projects have been implemented. Existing power and gas lines have been restored, a transformer installed, meter installations completed, and a new gas pipeline laid. Communication poles have been erected and cabling work continues. The village now features a newly established park, a flag square, and paved internal roads.
Badara has 313 private houses, of which 55 are currently uninhabitable and 258 partially habitable. To date, 15 homes have been restored. By the end of this year, 115 homes are expected to be completed, with another 128 scheduled for next year. Fourteen families, totaling 55 residents, have already relocated to the village.
During his visit, President Aliyev met with Barat Novruzov and his family, one of the households that have moved into the restored homes, and discussed their living conditions and the ongoing development initiatives.
