Russia, China issue joint demand for US to halt military-biological activities
Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping have signed a joint statement on deepening strategic partnership relations, ushering in a new era amid the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The statement, among other things, urged the United States to cease its military-biological activities, which they argue pose a threat to the security of other states and regions, per TASS.
They assert that such activities, conducted both within US borders and beyond, jeopardize the security of other countries and regions.
Moreover, the statement underscores the urgent need for the US to comply with the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production, and Stockpiling of Bacteriological and Toxin Weapons and Their Destruction, a stance strongly advocated by Russia and China.
