Russia has sent a third batch of humanitarian aid to Egypt for the population of the Gaza Strip.
"Two special vehicles of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations will deliver 60 tons of humanitarian cargo to the population of the Gaza Strip. The IL-76 planes of the emergency department took off from Grozny International Airport to the Arab Republic of Egypt," TASS reports with reference to the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The ministry said food, mattresses, pillows and personal hygiene products are onboard the aircraft.
On the spot, the humanitarian cargo will be handed over to the Egyptian Red Crescent Society, which will send it to the people of Gaza.
This is the third batch of humanitarian aid sent by Russia to the Gaza Strip after the aggravation of the situation in the region. Earlier, 55 tons of cargo were delivered aboard the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation, which included food, medicines and dressing material.
