Azerbaijani Army commander visits key Turkish military facilities PHOTO
Commander of the Azerbaijani Combined Arms Army, Major General Kanan Seyidov visited Ankara at the invitation of the Commander of the Land Forces of Türkiye, Army General Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu.
As part of his trip, Major General Seyidov visited several significant military facilities, Caliber.Az reports citing Azrbaijan’s Defence Ministry.
The visit included a tour of the Turkish Army Aviation Command and a military unit specializing in unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). During the visit, Major General Seyidov received a detailed briefing on the tactical and technical capabilities of the UAVs, their role in traditional combat operations, and the organization of combat flights. He was also briefed on the bombs used with the UAVs and had the opportunity to monitor live drone combat missions from the control center.
Subsequently, the Azerbaijani delegation visited the Turkish Special Forces Command, where they were provided with an in-depth briefing on the development and operational responsibilities of the Special Forces. The delegation was shown the advanced simulators used to train personnel in counter-terrorism operations, as well as new combat technologies and tactics.
Finally, Major General Seyidov traveled to the training center and school for mountain commandos in Isparta. At this facility, he was briefed on the education system and training processes for commando cadets. The delegation also viewed various weapons, communication systems, and simulators used in training. Major General Seyidov took the opportunity to meet with Azerbaijani servicemen currently undergoing training at the center, inquiring about their progress and the quality of their training.
