Russia downs 37 Ukrainian drones in multiple regions
On the night of December 14, Russia’s air defence systems successfully repelled a series of Ukrainian drone attacks targeting multiple regions within the Russian Federation.
A total of 37 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were intercepted and destroyed across four Russian regions, Caliber.Az reports citing Russian Defence Ministry.
The Russian Armed Forces shot down 12 UAVs each over the Kursk and Krasnodar regions, seven UAVs over the Bryansk region, and five UAVs over the Orel region. Additionally, one UAV was destroyed over the Sea of Azov.
The Orel Region Governor Andrei Klychkov provided a slightly different account, stating that 11 drones were destroyed. He confirmed that the UAVs caused a fire at a fuel infrastructure facility, but the fire was quickly contained by local firefighters, with no reported injuries.
