Russian drones attack miner bus in Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk, 15 dead photo
On Sunday, February 1, Russian forces carried out a drone attack on a company bus transporting miners in Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region, killing 15 people and injuring seven others.
The incident was reported by Caliber.Az, citing posts on Telegram by Oleksandr Hanja, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, and Oleksandr Dobrovolskyi, deputy mayor of Ternivka.
Hanja said, “The enemy struck with a UAV near a service bus belonging to one of the enterprises in the Pavlohrad district. We are clarifying the details.”
The attack was also confirmed by Ukraine’s State Emergency Service and the deputy mayor of Ternivka. The National Police reported that the Russian strike on civilian infrastructure caused the bus to catch fire.
Mykhailo Volynets, head of the Independent Trade Union of Miners of Ukraine, clarified that Russian forces targeted a coal-mining enterprise and a bus carrying workers during a shift change. He added that four Shahed-type drones were used in the attack.
