Danish intelligence sees “very concrete” Russian sabotage planning

Danish intelligence services have warned that Russian intelligence agencies are already preparing for potential acts of sabotage against defence-industry facilities in Denmark, with companies involved in military assistance to Ukraine identified as the primary targets.

The Danish Security and Intelligence Service (PET) confirmed to Berlingske that it has information indicating that Russia is planning acts of sabotage on Danish territory, TV2 reported on Thursday, September 3.

“This is not simply a warning about a threat that could arise. We are already seeing planning, very concrete [planning],” said Emil Grescholm, head of PET’s counterintelligence division.

According to Grescholm, the immediate focus is on companies in Denmark’s defence industry that are linked to the provision of military assistance to Ukraine.
