Russian MoD: Ukrainian army loses over 200 servicemen in 24 hours

Russian Defence Ministry Spokesman Lt Gen Igor Konashenkov has said Ukraine’s Armed Forces have lost over 210 men, including foreign mercenaries, over the past 24 hours.

"In the south Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia directions, the defending units of the battlegroup East, aircraft, artillery and heavy flamethrower systems held off enemy attacks near the settlements of Rabotino, Novodanilovka and Malaya Tokmachka of the Zaporizhzhia Region," TASS quotes him as saying.

Moreover, the activity of the Ukrainian subversive/reconnaissance group was thwarted near Rovnopol in the Donetsk People’s Republic, Konashenkov said.

“During the day, the enemy in these areas lost over 210 troops, including foreign mercenaries, four tanks, three infantry fighting vehicles, two armoured combat vehicles, two pickup trucks, a Grad MLRS combat vehicle, a Gvozdika motorized artillery system, two D-20 and Msta-B howitzers, and a US-made M109 Paladin self-propelled artillery launcher. A US-made AN/TPQ-36 counter-battery countermeasures radar was destroyed near Lukyanovskoye in Zaporizhzhia region,” the spokesman added.
