Yerevan confirms upcoming meeting of Armenia-Türkiye special reps UPDATED
Yerevan has officially confirmed the upcoming meeting between the special representatives of Armenia and Türkiye, the Armenian Foreign Ministry’s press service announced.
"As part of the process of normalising relations between Armenia and Türkiye, a meeting between Ruben Rubinyan and Serdar Kılıç is scheduled to take place in the coming days,” Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Earlier, Turkish media reported that the special representatives would hold their first meeting on the operation of the Margara-Alijan border checkpoint.

The Turkish delegation, led by the representative for normalisation of relations with Armenia, Serdar Kılıç, is set to travel to Armenia soon via the Alican border crossing, diplomatic sources said.
During the first intergovernmental meeting, some decisions on the normalisation of bilateral relations are expected to be made, and previously agreed steps are likely to be discussed, Caliber.Az reports, citing Turkish news outlet NTV.
The visit is scheduled for the beginning of next week.
