Russian president arrives in India for two-day visit
Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in India on December 4 for a two-day official visit. Upon landing at Palam Air Force Base in New Delhi, he was personally welcomed by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
On the same day, Putin is scheduled to hold an informal one-on-one meeting with Modi, according to Russian media reports.
The Russian delegation accompanying the president includes seven ministers: Defence Minister Andrey Belousov, Agriculture Minister Oksana Lut, Health Minister Mikhail Murashko, Transport Minister Andrey Nikitin, Economic Development Minister Maxim Reshetnikov, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, and Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev.
Additionally, the delegation comprises Elvira Nabiullina, Governor of the Bank of Russia; Dmitry Shugaev, head of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation; Anna Popova, head of Rospotrebnadzor; representatives from the Federal Customs Service and Rosfinmonitoring; as well as officials from state corporations Roscosmos, Rosatom, and VEB, the Russian state corporation for development.
The official segment of President Putin’s visit is set to begin on Friday. Simultaneously, a Russia-India business forum is taking place in New Delhi from December 4 to 5.
