Russian president sends birthday greetings to Azerbaijan's First VP
Russian President Vladimir Putin extended his birthday greetings to Mehriban Aliyeva, First Vice-President of Azerbaijan, in a message released on August 22.
In his note, Putin wished Aliyeva “good health, happiness, well-being, and success in your state duties,” and asked her to convey his regards to President Ilham Aliyev and her family, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
Born on August 26, 1964, in Baku, Mehriban Aliyeva is a distinguished Azerbaijani politician, physician, and philanthropist.
She has served as the First Lady of Azerbaijan since 2003 and was appointed as the country's first Vice President in 2017.
A graduate of the Azerbaijan Medical University and the Sechenov Moscow Medical Academy, Mehriban Aliyeva earned a PhD in philosophy in 2005.
Her commitment to public service is exemplified through her leadership of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, which focuses on education, culture, and humanitarian initiatives.
Throughout her career, Mehriban Aliyeva has been recognised for her dedication to the welfare of Azerbaijan and its people.
