Russian strike injures child, man in Odesa, damages residential buildings
An 11-year-old boy and a 59-year-old man were injured in a Russian strike on the southern Ukrainian city of Odesa, regional authorities said.
Oleh Kipper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, said the attack targeted the city’s Kyivskyi and Primorskyi districts, Caliber.Az reports.
According to officials, three residential buildings were hit by drones during the overnight assault.
One single-story home in the Primorskyi district was completely destroyed, while nearby buildings sustained damage to facades, roofs and windows.
The strikes also triggered several fires, which emergency crews later contained and extinguished.
“Emergency and utility services are working at the scene. Assistance is being provided to residents of the damaged buildings, and work to address the aftermath is ongoing,” the head of the city’s military administration said in a statement.
Authorities continue to assess the full scale of the damage caused by the attack.
