Second call from Putin to Aliyev on Azerbaijan Airlines crash
On December 29, Russian President Vladimir Putin made a phone call to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
During the phone conversation, the heads of state continued their discussion on the issues related to the crash of the passenger plane owned by Azerbaijan Airlines Closed Joint Stock Company, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azertag.
To recall, a day earlier, on December 28, Vladimir Putin made a phone call to Ilham Aliyev. During the phone conversation, Putin expressed his apologies regarding the tragic incident involving an Azerbaijan Airlines passenger plane, en route from Baku to Grozny, on December 25, which was subjected to external physical and technical interference in Russian airspace. President Putin extended his deepest and most sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives in the crash and wished a swift recovery to the injured.
