Somali president arrives in Baku for official visit, receives warm reception PHOTO

An official welcoming ceremony for Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud was held in Baku on February 12 during his visit to Azerbaijan.

A guard of honour was formed at the square where the national flags of both Somalia and Azerbaijan were displayed to honour the visiting president, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev welcomed President Mohamud, and the head of the guard of honour presented a report to the Somali leader.

The national anthems of both Somalia and Azerbaijan were performed during the ceremony.

The guard of honour marched past the Heads of State while a military march played. Official photographs were taken of the two leaders.
