“Today’s reality is a celebration of justice,” says President Aliyev in Jabrayil

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with residents of Horovlu village in Jabrayil district, commemorating the liberation of the territory and highlighting ongoing reconstruction efforts in Garabagh and East Zangezur.

“Today’s reality, this day, is a celebration of justice,” said President Ilham Aliyev during his meeting with residents of Horovlu village in Jabrayil district, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

Stressing the importance of believing in justice and ensuring it, the head of state added: “Our people both believed in justice and fought for it. We are the owners of these lands. We have expelled the enemy from our lands and are building a wonderful life here today.”

The President recalled the historical significance of the liberation: “Exactly five years ago, this territory (Horovlu village) was liberated from occupation, and this glorious history will always live in our hearts.”

Stating that Azerbaijan will soon celebrate the fifth anniversary of its historic Victory, the head of state emphasized: “November 8 – Victory Day – stands as the brightest page in our history. Five years ago, our historic Victory reverberated across the world.”

President Aliyev also spoke about the rapid development and reconstruction of liberated territories, noting: “Today, all of Garabagh and East Zangezur resemble a vast construction site.”

The President highlighted the resettlement of citizens and economic growth in the region: “More than 50,000 people already live, work, and study in Garabagh and East Zangezur. About 20,000 of them are former IDPs who have returned to their homeland, to their native lands. The rest are people working in various fields.”

The visit reflects Azerbaijan’s commitment to rebuilding the liberated territories and ensuring sustainable development and prosperity for its citizens.
