Trump pledges to push for Zelenskyy-Putin peace talks
US President Donald Trump has reiterated his intention to bring Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin together for negotiations to end the ongoing conflict.
Sepaking during a meeting with US generals and admirals, the US president noted that the Ukrainian war must be resolved, Caliber.Az reports.
“We will have only one war left to resolve, and we must resolve it with Presidents Putin and Zelenskyy. We need to get them together and make it happen,” he said.
The US leader also outlined plans for a large-scale modernisation of the American Armed Forces, including upgrades to the nuclear arsenal and the submarine fleet.
He noted that next year’s military budget is expected to reach $1 trillion, a record in the nation’s history.
