Trump signals positive turn in ongoing Iran talks “We have very good conversations going on”
US President Donald Trump stated that negotiations with Iran are continuing, speaking during a broadcast streamed on the White House’s YouTube channel.
“We have very good conversations going on. It’s working out very well,” the American leader said.
He added that Washington expects to have “some information” by the end of the day and noted that the United States is maintaining a tough position in its negotiations with the Islamic Republic.
Against this backdrop of cautious optimism from Washington, the broader diplomatic picture over the past few days remains mixed and fragile.
Iranian officials have stated that no date has been set for the next round of negotiations and insist that a formal framework must be agreed before talks can resume, highlighting ongoing disagreements despite US optimism.
At the same time, recent high-level talks in Islamabad ended without a breakthrough, with mediators such as Pakistan and Türkiye still pushing to restart dialogue and prevent further escalation.
Tensions have also risen on the ground, with Iran re-closing the Strait of Hormuz in response to a continuing US naval blockade, underscoring how military pressure is running parallel to diplomacy.
