Wedding party crash leaves seven dead, 60 injured in Pakistan
Seven people were killed and around 60 others injured when a tractor-trolley carrying a wedding party collided head-on with a trailer near Sardar Garh in northeastern Pakistan, The Nation reports.
The tractor-trolley was carrying members of a wedding party when the trailer, traveling in the opposite direction, crashed into it, leaving several people dead and injured.
Four people were initially reported killed in the collision, but the death toll later rose to seven after three more injured victims succumbed to their wounds.
Rescue teams transported the injured to a nearby hospital, where they received medical treatment.
A district official said an initial assessment indicated that reckless driving may have caused the accident. Police have launched an investigation to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the collision.
