U.S. not able to confirm reports of use of chemical weapons in Ukraine - Blinken

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said Washington could not yet confirm the use of chemical weapons by Russia in Ukraine. He added that consultations with partners are underway on this issue.

“We're in direct conversation with partners to try to determine what actually has happened. So this is a real concern”, Blinken said in a statement, according to Sky News.

As the agency notes, this could affect the West's reaction to Russia if it is confirmed that chemical weapons were used in Ukraine.
