Ukraine gets $1.5 billion in grant aid from US
The state budget of Ukraine received the first part of the grant from the United States of America.
It received a tranche of $1.5 billion, RBC-Ukraine reports with reference to the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.
In total, Ukraine is to receive $4.5 billion under this grant, provided by the United States through the World Bank Trust Fund. The money was transferred as part of the project "Public Expenditures for Administrative Capacity Endurance in Ukraine."
The attracted grant funds will be used to provide pensions and individual programs of state social assistance, such as payments for housing and communal services, support for low-income families, disabled children and children with disabilities, and IDPs, as well as to pay for medical services under the program of medical guarantees.
To recall, Ukraine once received a grant of $4.5 billion from the United States of America.
