Ukraine reaches agreement on humanitarian corridor from Mariupol
Ukraine preliminarily managed to agree on a humanitarian corridor from Mariupol on April 20.
Women, children and the elderly people will be allowed to evacuate through the corridor, RBC-Ukraine reports, citing the Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, Iryna Vereshchuk.
“Considering the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Mariupol, namely in this direction, we will focus our efforts today,” Vereshchuk wrote on her Telegram channel.
According to her, the gathering is planned to be held in Mariupol from at the Taganrogskaya and 130th Taganrog division streets at 14:00 on April 20.
The people will move along the route: Mariupol - Mangush - Berdyansk - Tokmak - Orekhov - Zaporizhzhia.
Vereshchuk added that the route can change during the operation of the corridor, given the complexity of the current security situation.
“We will make every effort to ensure that everything works as it should,” she said.
