Musk's DOGE claims $1 billion in daily savings for US government
The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), headed by US entrepreneur Elon Musk, claims it is already saving the US authorities a billion dollars a day and will increase this to $3 billion a day, according to a post shared by DOGE on X.
“DOGE is saving the Federal Government approx. $1 billion/day, mostly from stopping the hiring of people into unnecessary positions, deletion of DEI and stopping improper payments to foreign organizations, all consistent with the President’s Executive Orders. A good start, though this number needs to increase to > $3 billion/day,” the post reads, Caliber.Az reports.
The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), established by President Donald Trump in January 2025, is led by Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy. Its mission is to modernize federal technology and software to enhance governmental efficiency and productivity.
