Israeli forces intercept drone used in attempt to smuggle weapons from Egypt
Israeli soldiers have thwarted an attempt to smuggle weapons through the use of a large drone device from across the Egyptian border.
This was reported by the Israeli army's press service on January 29 via its official X page, as Caliber.Az cites.
According to the press statement, on the night of January 28 the large drone was spotted to have a package attached to it and shot down in the area where the Israeli Paran Brigade is active. Upon inspection, authorities discovered that smugglers were attempting to transport 13 units of M16 assault rifles and ammunition into Israel from Egypt using the UAV.
