Kyrgyz president signs decree on eco-friendly city development in Kemin
President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov has signed a decree for the construction of environmentally friendly Kemin City.
The city will be built in the Kemin district of the Chuy region, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
The Kyrgyz government must develop and approve a concept for the construction of Kemin City, covering an area of 353.3 hectares, by June 1. The government is also tasked with holding negotiations with investors and signing an appropriate investment agreement. According to the decree, the project aims to provide citizens with housing, reduce both external and internal migration, strengthen regional human resources, and improve the population’s welfare.
The project is expected to create conditions for the economic development of the area and enhance social stability. As part of the project’s implementation, the State Construction Agency has been tasked with conducting engineering-geological and topographical surveys, developing the city’s master plan and collaborating with the Ministry of Environmental Protection to ensure the construction of water supply and sewage systems.
