Ukraine turns to Türkiye due to passage of Russian vessel with S-300 via Bosphorus
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has made a request to Türkiye over the passage of the Sparta II vessel from Syria to Russia through the Bosphorus Strait.
The ministry said this in a statement posted on its website to comment on the passage of the Russian ship with S-300 through the strait, UNIAN reports.
It is noted that on August 29, the Turkish ambassador to Ukraine, Yagmur Ahmet Guldere, was invited to the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.
"[Ukrainian] Deputy Minister Nikolay Tochitsky expressed to the Turkish ambassador Ukraine's concern over the available information about the transportation of S-300PMU-2 missile systems from Syria to Russia via the Bosphorus Strait by the Sparta II vessel chartered by the Russian Defence Ministry," the report adds.
