Poland sends formal protest to Russia over damage to Kyiv embassy in air strikes
The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has sent a formal note of protest to the Russian Embassy following recent air strikes on civilian areas in Ukraine.
The attacks caused damage to the building housing the Polish embassy in Kyiv, Caliber.Az reports.
In its statement on X, Poland’s foreign ministry condemned the strikes as a violation of international law, specifically referencing the Vienna Convention of 1961, which safeguards diplomatic premises.

In the early hours of July 4, Kyiv was subjected to a significant Russian aerial attack involving missiles and drones. The overnight air raid prompted widespread alerts across the city, resulting in fires, debris, damage, and casualties in several districts.
Smoke lingered over Kyiv from night until dawn, with residents advised to keep their windows shut for safety reasons.
Emergency services, including rescue teams, medical personnel, police, and utility workers, actively responded to the consequences of the strikes.
