NYT: Trump's income nearly quadruples over eight years
US President Donald Trump's income has nearly quadrupled over the past eight years, reaching an estimated $2.24 billion in 2025, the New York Times (NYT) reports.
The report said during his first presidential term, Trump's business empire was driven primarily by golf clubs and real estate.
In 2017, those assets generated about $528 million of his total $594 million income.
By his second term, however, the composition of his business had shifted significantly.
According to the newspaper, Trump's total income reached $2.24 billion in 2025.
Nearly $800 million came from the family-backed cryptocurrency venture World Liberty Financial, while the TRUMP memecoin generated another $636 million.
By contrast, Trump's traditional golf and real estate businesses grew by only about 4% and accounted for less than a quarter of his total revenue.
Overseas projects, including ventures in the Middle East, contributed about $125 million.
Another major source of income in 2025 was legal settlements, which brought in approximately $117 million.
Sales of Trump-branded watches, books and Bibles generated an additional $17 million, the report said.
