"Agreed on the importance of strengthening Ukraine's air defence, which can be facilitated, in particular, by the UK," he said.
Yermak informed the interlocutor about the consequences of the recent massive shelling of Ukrainian cities and villages, which was committed by the Russian Federation during the New Year holidays emphasizing that as a result of these "terrorist acts of Russia dozens of Ukrainians were killed and more than 150 were wounded".
The head of the Presidential Office also noted the productive work of the Ukrainian and British teams on an agreement on security guarantees for Ukraine, as stipulated in the Vilnius Joint Declaration of the G7 countries.
Yermak said that during the conversation they discussed preparations for the next meeting of national security advisers and political advisers of the countries' leaders on the implementation of the Ukrainian peace formula, which will be held in January in Davos.
