Well-known British lawyer to represent Israel in International Court of Justice
British lawyer Malcolm Shaw will represent Israel's interests at the UN International Court of Justice, where the South African authorities previously filed charges against the Jewish state for genocide due to the situation in the Gaza Strip.

Malcolm Shaw works at the Essex Court Chambers law firm.
He has considerable experience representing Governments in international courts, and in addition to the International Court of Justice, he has previously appeared before the European Court of Human Rights, the European Court of Justice, the Hong Kong Supreme Court of Appeal, the High Court of Ireland and the British Supreme Court.
He represented the interests of the United Arab Emirates in the International Court of Justice, as well as Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Ireland, Malaysia and Cameroon in other courts.
Earlier, the South African authorities appealed to the International Court of Justice of the United Nations to investigate Israel's actions in the Gaza Strip, which violate the Convention on the Prevention of Crimes of Genocide.
