Next Ramstein defence talks scheduled for September 9 in London
The 30th meeting of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group, also known as the Ramstein Format, is scheduled to take place on September 9 in London.
According to Ukrainian public broadcaster Suspilne, citing a spokesperson for the German Federal Ministry of Defence, the meeting will occur in a "mixed format," though the agenda has not yet been disclosed, Caliber.Az reports per Ukrainian media.
"Due to consultations on the agenda, I cannot comment on this topic at this time," the spokesperson added.
The Ramstein Format, initiated by the United States in March 2022, serves as a platform for coordinating military aid to Ukraine and brings together representatives from more than 50 countries.
Following a phone conversation with UK Defence Secretary John Healey on August 13, Ukrainian Minister of Defence Denys Shmyhal had announced that the next meeting would be held in September, but no concrete date was initially provided.
The two previous meetings in June and July were held without the participation of US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth.
The 29th meeting, conducted online on July 21, focused on securing advanced US Patriot missile systems, enhancing Ukraine’s long-range drone capabilities, and integrating new air defence technologies.
Representatives from 52 countries participated, primarily at the ministerial level, highlighting the global scale of Ukraine’s defence coalition. Topics discussed included long-term weapons support and new aid packages.
