World leaders extend warm congratulations to President Aliyev on Azerbaijan’s Independence Day
On the occasion of Azerbaijan’s Independence Day, a host of world leaders have sent heartfelt congratulatory messages to Ilham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan, highlighting the country’s achievements and reaffirming strong bilateral ties.
From Türkiye, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan expressed pride in Azerbaijan’s accomplishments and the enduring bond between the two nations, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
In his message, Erdoğan stated:
“On the anniversary of this significant holiday, Türkiye takes pride in the achievements of Azerbaijan — a country with which we stand together in both joyful and challenging times, within the region and beyond. We are very pleased with our shared determination to further strengthen our high-level relations in the spirit of ‘One nation, two states.’ I am delighted to see that our brotherly relations and exceptional cooperation are bringing us closer to our common development goals day by day, making our countries even stronger and more prosperous.”
He extended his wishes for health and happiness to President Aliyev and prosperity to the people of Azerbaijan.
From Pakistan, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif conveyed warm felicitations on behalf of the people and government, emphasising the strong historical and brotherly ties. Sharif acknowledged the steady progress in bilateral relations and expressed gratitude for Azerbaijan’s support during Pakistan’s recent challenges:
“Pakistan greatly values its historically excellent brotherly relations with Azerbaijan, defined by mutual trust, exemplary affection, and resolute support to each other, on all core issues... I would like to reiterate my profound appreciation for Your Excellency's steadfast support to Pakistan during the recent crisis with India... Indeed, as true brothers, our hearts always beat in unison, especially as our destinies are intertwined.”
He also expressed anticipation for his upcoming visit to Azerbaijan and extended prayers for peace, progress, and prosperity.
From Serbia, President Aleksandar Vučić offered sincere congratulations, highlighting the mutual respect and strategic partnership between the two countries:
“Our country attaches great importance to the development of relations with the Republic of Azerbaijan, which have been marked, since the very beginning, by mutual trust, esteem and respect... I look forward to our upcoming encounter and take pride in the fact that, in addition to friendly relations, we are also linked by a strategic partnership...
