World leaders, officials send birthday congratulations to Azerbaijani president
World leaders and officials have extended their congratulations to President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan on the occasion of his 64th birthday, which the president will celebrate on December 24.
Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, praised President Aliyev’s leadership, noting that under his guidance, Azerbaijan has achieved significant progress, Caliber.Az reports via Azertag.
“On this remarkable day, allow me to express my profound respect to you. I would like to note that under your leadership, Azerbaijan has made significant strides,” the letter says.
He emphasised the historical ties and “unbreakable strategic partnership” between Georgia and Azerbaijan, which contribute to regional stability and prosperity.
“Georgia and Azerbaijan are bound together by historical ties of friendship and unbreakable strategic partnership, which contribute to ensuring stability and prosperity in the region. I firmly believe that through our joint efforts, the existing relations between our countries will further deepen and strengthen,” the letter continued.
Kobakhidze expressed deep respect to the Azerbaijani leader, and wished him “robust health, prosperity, and success” in his responsible activities, and “the friendly people of Azerbaijan peace and progress.”
In the same vein, Sergey Melikov, Head of the Republic of Dagestan in the Russian Federation, highlighted Azerbaijan’s socio-economic development and its achievements on the international stage.
“Thanks to your tireless efforts, fraternal Azerbaijan has made remarkable progress in the socio-economic sphere, in state-building, and on the international stage. Your many years of fruitful service, combined with your outstanding professionalism and unwavering devotion to your homeland, have earned you widespread public recognition and undisputed authority both among your fellow citizens and far beyond your country's borders,” he wrote in the letter.
Melikov added that Dagestan cherishes its long-standing and productive cooperation with Azerbaijan, “rooted in centuries-old traditions of friendship, good-neighbourly relations, and mutual respect.”
“Dear Ilham Heydarovich, please accept my sincere wishes for robust health, prosperity, and continued success in your vital work throughout the coming year of 2026,” he wrote.
Additionally, Giuseppe Caniglia, President of the Napoli-Baku Association, also congratulated President Aliyev, wishing him health, personal happiness, and continued success in his official duties.
“I would also like to convey my sincere hopes for lasting prosperity and well-being for the people of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Please accept, Your Excellency, the assurances of my highest consideration,” Caniglia added.
