Zelenskyy rejects possibility of freezing Ukrainian conflict
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that his country will never agree to freeze the conflict on its territory.
He made the remarks during a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian parliament) dedicated to Ukraine's constitution day, TASS reports.
"We will never agree to any form of frozen conflict," the Ukrainian leader said.
The president also said that many countries support his "peace formula" for resolving the conflict in Ukraine.
In November 2022, Zelenskyy, speaking at the G20 summit, voiced a 10-point "peace formula". In particular, the document talks about restoring Ukraine's borders to the 1991 borders, exchanging detainees according to the "all for all" formula, ensuring nuclear, food and energy security.
In addition, the Ukrainian leader also said that after the country became a candidate for membership of the EU, "the same thing" awaits it with NATO accession.
"Ukraine became a candidate for the EU, the same thing will happen to NATO," Zelenskyy said.
