Baku resolutely rejects Dutch parliament’s anti-Azerbaijan resolution

25 November 2022 19:37

Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry's Spokesman Aykhan Hajizade has said that Azerbaijan resolutely rejects the draft resolution adopted by the Dutch parliament against it.

“We call on the Dutch side to abandon its unilateral position and to be guided in its decisions by the norms and principles of international law,” Hajizade said while answering a question from the local journalists, Report informs.

He noted that in previous years, the Dutch parliament adopted completely biased resolutions against Azerbaijan, which do not reflect reality.

“Such a proposal put forward in the Dutch parliament, which for almost 30 years turned a blind eye to the occupation of Azerbaijani territories by Armenia, brutal reprisals against civilians, robberies and vandalism, is an example of another slanderous campaign against our country,” he stressed.

“Moreover, we would like to remind the Dutch side that after the 2020 war, Armenia, grossly violating its obligations under the tripartite statements, did not completely withdraw its armed groups from the Azerbaijani territory, continued planting mines in the Azerbaijani territories, intensified militarisation of the border areas, hindered the opening of transport routes and committed destructive activities against the peace process,” the spokesman highlighted.
