Azerbaijani army chief visits military infrastructure sites in Belarus PHOTO
Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijani Army, Colonel General Karim Valiyev, together with the delegation headed by him, has paid a visit to several military facilities in Belarus, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence has stated.
It said that during the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation toured an air base of the Belarusian Armed Forces and a separate airborne assault brigade, where officials provided information on military and special-purpose equipment used by the Special Operations Forces and electronic warfare units, Caliber.Az reports.
As part of the program, Colonel General Valiyev also visited the Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) Application and Training Centre, as well as an enterprise operated by Belarus' State Military-Industrial Committee.
Following a presentation on the centre's activities, the delegation was briefed on the training process for UAS operators and the simulators used in their preparation.
The Azerbaijani delegation additionally visited the bust of Hero of the Soviet Union Najafgulu Rafiyev in Minsk, where members laid a wreath in tribute to his memory.
