Azerbaijan to host trilateral military exercise with Türkiye, Georgia

Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Türkiye have begun preparations for the Eternity-2026 command-and-staff exercise as part of ongoing military cooperation between the three countries’ defence ministries.

A planning conference dedicated to organizing the drills was held under the framework of the trilateral military cooperation program, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence told Caliber.Az.

The exercise is scheduled to take place in Azerbaijan in November 2026 and will involve military personnel from all three participating countries. Representatives of Azerbaijan’s State Agency for the Protection of Strategic Objects and Azerbaijan Railways CJSC will also take part in the training.

According to the ministry, the exercise scenario will focus on tactical procedures for the protection and defence of strategic facilities and critical communication lines located within the territories of the participating states.

During the planning conference, officials reviewed the objectives and format of the drills, the structure of the joint command, field training scenarios, and other organizational matters related to the upcoming exercise.
