Azerbaijan, Palestine keen to deepen bilateral relations PHOTO
Speaker of Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova has met with Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa to discuss the further development of bilateral relations during his official visit to Azerbaijan.
The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between Azerbaijan and Palestine, with both sides emphasizing the longstanding friendship and mutual respect underpinning relations between the two countries, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
Gafarova noted that Azerbaijan and Palestine are united by shared religious, spiritual, and family values, as well as close ties between their peoples. She also underscored the importance of high-level visits and regular dialogue in advancing interstate relations.
Expressing confidence in the significance of Mustafa's visit, the speaker said it would make an important contribution to expanding bilateral cooperation and deepening ties across various fields.
For his part, Mohammad Mustafa thanked the Azerbaijani government, parliament, and people for their consistent political, diplomatic, and humanitarian support for the Palestinian cause.
Concluding the meeting, the Palestinian prime minister praised Azerbaijan's rapid development and reconstruction efforts, and wished the Azerbaijani people lasting peace, prosperity, and continued success.
