Azerbaijan, Palestine eye deeper bilateral cooperation PHOTO
Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov has met with his Palestinian counterpart, Mohammad Mustafa, as the latter continued his official visit to Azerbaijan, with the two sides discussing the current state of bilateral relations and prospects for deeper cooperation.
According to Azerbaijan's Cabinet of Ministers, the meeting highlighted the steady development of relations between Azerbaijan and Palestine, which both parties said are founded on friendship, mutual respect, and close cooperation. They also underscored the importance of continued mutual support within international and regional organizations, Caliber.Az reports.
During the talks, PM Asadov reaffirmed Azerbaijan's longstanding position in support of a resolution to the Palestinian issue based on the principles and norms of international law, including the relevant resolutions of the United Nations Security Council.
PM Mustafa commended Azerbaijan for its consistent political support for the State and people of Palestine, as well as for the humanitarian assistance and initiatives it has provided in education and other sectors.
The two prime ministers also exchanged views on opportunities to further strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation across a range of areas, reaffirming their commitment to advancing bilateral ties.
