Pan-African Parliament chief to lead delegation to Azerbaijan

President of the Pan-African Parliament, Fateh Boutbig, will lead a delegation on an official visit to Azerbaijan from September 16 to 18.

The announcement was made on the Pan-African Parliament’s official X account, Caliber.Az reports.

The visit comes at the invitation of Speaker of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova and follows her participation in the First Ordinary Session of Seventh Legislature of the Pan-African Parliament.

“The visit follows Speaker Gafarova’s participation in the First Ordinary Session of the Seventh Legislature of the Pan-African Parliament and reflects the shared commitment of both institutions to strengthening parliamentary relations between Africa and Azerbaijan.

H.E. Dr. Boutbig will be accompanied by Members of the Bureau and the Chairperson of the Northern Caucus of the Pan-African Parliament.

Discussions during the visit are expected to focus on matters of mutual interest, parliamentary diplomacy, South-South cooperation and opportunities to deepen institutional relations between the Pan-African Parliament and the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan,” the post reads.
